Unabridged Audiobook
this book was interesting and i liked the premise because for a short time it was quite possible. I have always found this era of interest and it was a time when life was lived fast and life precarious. To be a policeman in this time would have been unusual to say the least. The plot moves along with a good pace and the characters are believable. There are very many twists and turns that keep you listening. This is definitely a good book.
Len Deighton is a solid interesting writer of spy novels and war novels, and this one is as good as they come. I saw the BBC version TV series first, but the book is better. James Lailey is a comfortable listen as he is in the Bernie Samson triple trilogies. It is too bad that more of Len's books were not made into movies though Impress Files and Funeral in Berlin are classics.
Excellent plot and great attention to detail
This was an interesting read with a few twists. A word about the narrator, I like the way James Lailey reads and the sound of his voice.
