Unabridged Audiobook
Page turner
if you want a read with an utterly enchanting fantasy smashed into the genuine reality of a vivid and real city, this is an amazing story. The main characters abrasive and deceitful personality formed from a life of abject poverty, dissolutionment of escaping her horrid existence and a teeth gritting determination to simply survive against all odds will absorb your attention from the very first chapter. the writer somehow makes this girls life and strife so relatable that you imagine yourself taking up the fight by just listening in. the Narrator somehow brings the brush tones of the girls voice and colorful language to life all while delivering the wonderful and intriguing tale with such suspense and captivating brilliance, it is as though the main charter has sprung from the pages and begrudgingly decided to speak her story with her own mouth. Bravo to both author and narrator for this amazing story.
The story was slow, didn’t keep my interest, plot was ok, narrator was wonderful
If you're looking for a story the seems as if it's solely about forwarding the woke agenda, this is your title. If you are tired of having wokeness forced upon you, avoid this book! The story itself is thin , predictable and dragged out.
I really liked the premise and writing. Each chapter kept me engaged and waiting for the next surprise. I wasn't a huge fan of the narrator's attempt at different voices for the different characters.
Loved this book! I especially loved the main character and admired her determination. Ready to read more from this author.
This book was good but not for me.
this is a book of really interesting concepts that just never hit the mark for me. It feels both too long for what it does and too short for what it wants to do. I'm deeply apathetic about Starling house. I don't really dislike it, but I don't like it either.
Fantastical and beautiful. I couldn’t be more pleased with this story.
