Unabridged Audiobook
This third book in the series is even more amazing than the first two, which I adored. Sam grows more comfortable in her own skin(s) the further into her story she goes. It is a constant, slow growth that is natural and delightful to share. Every so often, she even notices it herself! I love knowing these characters and watching them survive some really frightening and dangerous situations and come out (sometimes staggering) the other side. On the other hand, the author doesn't mess with emotions by adding pointless tension, which allows the characters to have mooring in their lives. This seems a fairly unusual literary quality. This book has passion, humor, joy, tension, suspense, and so much more, and I recommend it, and the rest of the series, whole-heartedly. I listened to the audiobook, and the narration is perfect.
