Really good! Lots of twists! This would be a great movie!!

Great book. Kept me listening. Enough twists that stopped it being boring.

The story was contrived and unbelievable. Without giving anything away, the character’s decision making was ridiculous.

This reminded me of Verity. I get agro when a character has intuition and feelings about things but never acts on them. I found that frustrating about this book. Still enjoyed it.

I was hooked. Although, I wanted to shake some sense into the main character but it’s part of the story. As a free VIP pick, I was pleased with the book.

freida McFadden books are awesome. this one did not disappoint.

Gave four stars, but would have given 3.5 if I could’ve. The book was decent, had some good twists and turns. But I could not stand the character Vicki before her accident. It was hard to believe she was that naive.

I have loved every book of her I have read. This was not my favorite but may have enjoyed it more with a different narrator. She was not fluent in her reading, reminded me of one of my students reading to me in class.

Entertaining. Characters thoughts and actions interesting… just go with the flow!!

The level of co-dependency the protagonists posses is unrealistic and makes the story quite unbelievable. Otherwise great thriller by Ms. Fadden.

Good book and storyline and good narrator

It wasn’t my favorite Freida McFadden book but it was a good read. There were plot twists and unexpected moments. I enjoyed the book.

The way the narrator narrates Victoria’s voice is almost infuriating. It’s so high pitched and whiny when it’s clear that’s not the cadence and tone the character was written in. I’m usually good with disassociating a bad narrator from the storyline but this was so difficult. Maggie’s narration is similar. And her attempt to narrate Eva is worse. About the only character that’s decent is Sylvia.

Lots of twists

It an okay. I sped up the audio to help keep it moving. Characters were frustrating and decision making was annoying. Ending became predictable especially with the foreshadowing hints but enjoyable enough.

Kept my interest from start to finish!

I did not like the characters. The decision making ability of the two main characters was truly bad. I found myself getting aggravated sometimes lol. The book does keep you hooked even though the end is somewhat predictable. I think it didn’t need to be dragged for so long though. As I said it’s predictable. The end could have been better.

They really thought about every detail and connected all the pieces. And the narrator was amazing and changed their voice to fit the characters beautifully and it helped me stay connected to the story. Definitely worth the listen!

I felt like this book didn’t know what it wanted to be. A mystery? A romance? I was tempted to DNF but I doubled the speed and got’er done. Didn’t regret it, but I guess just not my style.

Certainly an interesting and twisted storyline, making the reader/listener change sides several times. I enjoyed this book very much and also the narration was good.

To be honest, Angie Kane was the staaart of this story! I felt so excited and the voice is perfect. Enjoyed it so much and looking forward more audio books by her

I enjoyed this book. I was a little unsure if I enjoyed the narrater but I grew to find her quite endearing. Kept me guessing throughout.

Got this as a VIP extra. I have to say often those books are disappointing but I really enjoyed this one. Great depiction of narcissistic abuse.

Verity, but actually good. The characters have soo much more demention. You don't leave feeling let down and frustrated. Much more appropriate handling of the subject matter and a real page turner to boot.

It is good but not as good as her books usually are.

Wasn’t sure I would like this but the reviews were so good thought I would give it a go, really should have gone with my instincts.

This was my first McFadden book. I will look for more from her. Intriguing, good character development, suspenseful and very well narrated.
