Wendy Wan-Long Shang’s favorite things are freshly sharpened pencils, dogs, quiet mornings, good books, and the Spelling Bee puzzle in the New York Times. She wishes she were good at knitting and tennis, but has not quite devoted enough time to either endeavor…yet. Wendy writes about different aspects of the Chinese American experience through her middle-grade and picture books. She also wrote the novel adaptation of the Netflix original Over the Moon.
