Lee Blessing is a prolific playwright whose work has been produced throughout the United States, on Broadway and off, in London's West End, and in numerous other countries around the world. He has been a Pulitzer Prize finalist, and has been nominated for Tony and Olivier awards. The Signature Theatre in New York dedicated its entire second season to the production of Blessing's works. His previous collection of plays, Lee Blessing: Four Plays, published by Heinemann in 1991, includes Nice People Dancing to Good Country Music, Independence, Riches, and Eleemosynary.
